Who we are
LodestarGIS is operated from British Columbia, Canada. Quinton David is responsible for how we handle personal information. Contact: quinton@lodestargis.com.
What we collect, and why
When you submit the property form we collect your name, email, the property location you give us (address, county, or coordinates), its approximate acreage, the package you are interested in, whether you are an individual or a professional, and anything you write in the notes box.
We use this only to check what the public record holds for your property, to produce and deliver your report, to tell you the price, and to reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising. By submitting the form you consent to this use.
We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and the site sets no cookies. We do not track you across other sites, so a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser changes nothing about how we handle your information. No third party collects information about you through this site for its own purposes: fonts and all page assets are served from our own domain.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context advertising, and we do not collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details or health data. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of services that process data on our behalf: Netlify hosts this site and stores form submissions; ImprovMX and Gmail carry the email you send us and our replies; Stripe processes payment if you place an order, and handles your card details itself — we never see or store them.
These providers operate servers in the United States and elsewhere, so your information may be stored and processed outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of those places.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data that does not become an order is deleted within twelve months. Order records are kept as long as needed to deliver the order, honour the guarantee, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
We do not publish your property address, and we redact it from every sheet we show publicly as an example of our work.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent, by emailing quinton@lodestargis.com. We will respond within 30 days.
US residents: whichever state you live in, including California, Texas, Virginia and others with consumer privacy laws, we will honour a request to access, correct or delete your personal information, and we will not treat you differently for making one. To use an authorized agent, have them email us with your written permission.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we update the Last updated date at the top of this page and email anyone with an open enquiry or order. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
